The Dark Wash is more of a true indigo or dark blue color, where the Dark Rinse is so dark, it can almost be considered black. Bright colors often look childish and are less versatile.I asked jcrew factory support what the difference was b/t the dark wash and dark rinse. I would generally stay away from colored jeans, except for like olive/khaki/gray when done right.Last One good! Use this pic for pre distressed too. It's very easy to stumble into the walmart mom jeans color territory. Lightwash: These are generally for summer but I think some people can rock it during the color temps well.It's almost like a starter pair to intro you into raw denim! If you do want to try it out, Unbranded does sell raw denim for under $100. It pays off but for some, it's just not worth the $100-200 extra when they can just get a $50 pair from levis. And they are usually A LOT more stiff at times and can be uncomfortable initially. Some people really like the unique fades that come with raw denim but some don't care. Left is the initial color, right is after a few months/year. This is an example of the fading that occurs. Basically, they are more premium quality higher priced denim that fades and conforms to the wearer's body. Now what if you have a bit more flexibility with money? Than raw denim is a good option, but definitely something you should research and know if you want to go that route. The last one should be the dark indigo you look for. I think the first three are good pre distressed fades. Are you on a lower budget? Then raw denim is out of the question (will discuss later). When there are fades, we want something not too distressed or look way unauthentic. NOT recommended This is what you wantīlue Jeans: This is the part most people have trouble with.
